Romania's Parliament has voted Nicu MARCU as ASF President

Romania's parliament has voted Nicu MARCU as President of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), www.1asig.ro informed here. Previously, Nicu MARCU served as Vice-President of Romania's Court of Accounts.

More than that, last Tuesday, Nicu MARCU received a favorable opinion from members of the Economic Committees of the Romanian Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. He received 51 votes in favor, 6 against and one abstention.

Nicu MARCU is replacing Leonardo BADEA, who was named Vice-governor of Romania's National Bank in October 2019. The interim is provided by Doina DASCALU, First Vice-President of the Authority.
