At the end of June 2025, the BiH insurance market totaled EUR 303 million, up by 8.6% y-o-y, as the local insurance agency – AZOBIH informed. At the same time, the value of claims paid by insurers increased by 9.8% y-o-y to EUR 121 million.

The value of GWP of the insurers operating in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina increased by 10.47% to EUR 215.67 million (71% of total GWP), while the Republika Srpska based insurers generated EUR 87.34 million, up by 4.27% y-o-y.

Non-life insurance premiums increased by 9.86% y-o-y to EUR 248.7 million, while premiums in the life insurance segment went up 3.2% to EUR 54.28 million. From the non-life subclasses, EUR 29.4 million corresponded to the property lines and EUR 180.6 million to motor insurance (MoD and MTPL, summed).

In GWP terms, the top three largest insurers in the country were FBiH based insurers ASA Central osiguranje (12.4% market share), Adriatic osiguranje (10.5%) and Euroherc osiguranje (8.4%).
