The insurance sector of Kyrgyzstan grew by 93.66% at the end of the first quarter of 2025, reaching KGS 1,558.15 million (EUR 16.73 million), according to the updated data published by the Service for regulation and supervision of the financial market of Kyrgyzstan.

Among the key insurance classes, personal insurance, as always, demonstrates impressive growth rates (+299.26%). It is worth noting that due to high growth rates, the share of this segment on the market increased to 42.10% from 20.42% a year ago, while the share of the previously largest segment, property insurance, fell from 51.73% to 30.18%.

Insurers' paid claims jumped by 161.90%, amounting to KGS 319.32 million (EUR 3.43 million). Property insurance recorded a triple-digit increase in paid claims - almost 232%. Moreover, the lion's share of paid claims falls in this segment.

At the end of the first quarter of 2025, 15 insurers were active on the market, among which ARSENAL Kyrgyzstan leads in terms of GWP (KGS 377.66 million). NSK, the leader of the previous year, is now in fourth place, while A-Plus ranks second. GSO company ranks third, whose growth was impressive (from KGS 56.27 million to KGS 188.94 million).
