Q3 2025 preliminary insurance market figures published by HAIC - Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies, shows that at the end of September 2025, the Greek insurance market totaled EUR 4.42 billion, up by 5.3% y-o-y.

Life insurance business line was up by 1.6% to EUR 2.05 billion. The non-life insurance segment increased by 8.8% y-o-y to EUR 2.39 billion - of which EUR 618 million - MTPL, EUR 269 - MoD, EUR 534.6 – property. Property insurance saw one of the most substantial growth rates, driven by the increased sales on the fire & natural forces insurance line (14.1%).


The market figures published by HAIC include the figures for 46 insurers, of which 41 were active in non-life insurance and 14 in Life insurance. Of the 48 insurance enterprises, 26 were established in Greece in the form of S.A. Insurance Company, 1 in the form of mutual insurance cooperative, 13 as EU branches and 6 FOS insurers.
