The Slovenian insurance market totaled EUR 1.97 billion in the first nine months of 2020, a 3.65% increase y-o-y, according to the Slovenian Insurance Association's Q3 report. Life insurance GWP increased by EUR 7.75 million to EUR 557 million, while the Non-life segment reported a positive rate of 4.68%, reaching EUR 1.42 billion - or 71.76% of total GWP.

In terms of paid claims, the aggregate value was ~EUR 1.17 billion, of which about EUR 387 million - life indemnities, EUR 362 million - payments related to health insurance contracts, and EUR 264 million - motor classes payments (MTPL and MoD, summed).

Slovenia's largest insurer is Zavarovalnica TRIGLAV with a 25.73% market share, followed by Zavarovalnica SAVA (18.11% market share) and GENERALI zavarovalnica (16.54% market share).
