TURKIYE: The country's biggest life insurer records a 67% rise in net profits in 2025

Life and pension insurer Turkiye Hayat Emeklilik reported net profits of TRY 15.5 billion for the financial year ended 31 December 2025, which represents a 67% increase y-o-y, Middle East Insurance Review reports.

According to the press release, the insurer’s technical profits rose by 79% to TRY 13.6 billion in 2025. Turkiye Hayat Emeklilik's equity increased by 73% to TRY 31.9 billion as of the end of December 2025. Return on equity was 62% in 2025.

The company’s life insurance premium income grew to TRY 29.3 billion last year, surging by 105% y-o-y.

Private pension funds of the country's biggest life insurer increased by 82% to TRY 494.1 billion as of 31 December 2025 compared to 2024.

Turkiye Hayat Emeklilik is the country's biggest life insurer, formed from the merger in 2020 of state-owned life companies, Vakif Emeklilik, Halk Emeklilik, and Ziraat Emeklilik. Its market share is 21% in the private pension sector and 16% in life insurance.
