The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for determining and maintaining the rating of insurers, developed by the National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP). The document sets clear criteria for assessing the quality of services provided by insurance companies.

The introduction of the rating system is foreseen by the regulation on provision of insurance services in electronic form, which was adopted in November 2024. The rating of insurance companies will be determined on a scale from ‘AAA’ to ‘D’ based on data from the NAPP information system.

The main goal of the rating system for insurers is to provide consumers of insurance services with objective and transparent information on the quality of insurance services, improve the financial stability of insurance companies, their compliance with the law and timely claim settlement, increase satisfaction with insurance services, thereby increasing the competitiveness on the insurance market.

Ratings will be maintained in the Unified Automated Information System of NAPP and published on its official website on the 10th of each month.
