The conference was inaugurated by His Excellency Fareed Lutfi, the Secretary General, Emirates Insurance Association and Secretary General, Gulf Insurance Association. The conference was preceded by the Golden Shield Excellence Awards 2020, which recognize the remarkable and noteworthy contributions of the veterans to the insurance industry. The recipient of these awards included top notch organizations who have demonstrated highest level of professionalism, contributed towards the development of the insurance field.
IMC Golden Shield Excellence Award for General Insurance Company of the Year was presented to Axa Insurance (Gulf); Takaful Company of the Year was presented to Abu Dhabi National Takaful Co. PSC; Reinsurer of the Year was bestowed upon Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, Loss Adjustment Firm of the Year was presented to Arab Loss Adjusters and Leading claims manager of the year is won by Aman Insurance.
Corporate Social Responsibility Award was bestowed upon Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC). RSA was bestowed upon Marine Insurance Company of the year award; Broker of the Year was being bestowed upon Marsh & McLennan Companies; Insurance Law Firm of the Year was bestowed upon HFW; Leading Marine Liability Broker of the Year was presented to Arya Insurance Brokerage Co. (LLC). Award for Educational & Training Initiative of the Year was bestowed upon RISC Institute, Inchcape Shipping Services was declared the Leading P&I Correspondent of the Year, Health Insurance Company of the Year was bestowed upon Cigna Insurance Middle East. Now Health International was presented the Digital Insurer of the Year award and Motor Insurance Company of the Year was bestowed upon Oman Insurance Company.
